I Agree that it's not more than normal to pay for an object or service.
The whole station is a kind of sparetime work for the owner,
not earning with it, making minimal costs. That means a kind of respect worth it.
Taking in account too, all the hours and stress needed for updatings,
as well as keeping the system running correctly, and administration of bills for transmissions and music-taxes.
It is not more than normal to pay a certain amount of money for getting all the sound delivered.
But if i am asked what advantage i feel the most in the VIP-extras,
in using it i feel the freedom to ask a couple of pieces in a short time.
A great ease. Instead of waiting every time 1 or 2 hours per piece
I can request a couple, and after that staying concentrated at my work or study. Or more freely requesting at varying moments that my work gives time for.
For me, the differences between 64k and 128k streams are not that big.
At work i would prefer the 64k, because of the lesser load on the net,
and fewer bufferings/holdups there.
I think a normal listener will see it as a chance of first impression to be a free member. And after that first impression becoming a vip (and perhaps donating a bit) to make the transmissions and music-tax payed. I also think that a normal listener will not make full large queues, but give others a chance too, to make a request.
I think a radio-station is for listening music, not for gaming with queues or gaming with chatboxes and chat-icons.
That is my idea about being a VIP here.
