How I found this station:

Through another 24seven.fm station www.streamingsoundtracks.com

Piano, Viola, Mandolin, Voice

Any other interests?
Photography, computers, AV stuff.

How I found this station:
I am a co-founder of this station

What kind of Classical I like:
My absolute favorite is choral music, and I have a soft spot for organ music but I am generally open to and like all classical music. And I like about half the Opera I hear.

What instruments do I play?:
Piano, clarinet, and that other wonderful instrument known as the human voice - I have sang in choirs in the past.

Any other interests?:
All other 24seven.FM sites.

How I found this station:
I use to monitor 24seven, then I'm here since AFM's second day of existence.

What kind of Classical I like:
Medieval, Baroque, Classical and Romantique. Symphonic in general. I don't like Operas or any piece with voices (execption done to the 4th movement of 9th of Beetoven). Some problems with 20th century compositions.

What instruments do I play
For my frustration, I play no instruments.

Any other interests?
My family, Books, Science & Technology, Heavy Metal (rock music).

How I found this station:
I'm a moderator at death.fm, there was an announcement in the forums there.

What kind of Classical I like:
I like romantic music, especially "Lieder" (don't know the english word, sorry). The "Winterreise" by Schubert is a real favorite of mine. Also, I like "tedious" music like the "Sacre du printemps" of Stravinsky. I don't like music that's too "light" (like most of Mozart's work), and I absolutely loathe opera.

Cheers

How I found this station:

I had a wee hint that it was in the works awhile ago -- then discovered it had made its premiere.

What kind of Classical I like:

I'm a big fan of most classical music, but I loathe "honk-squeak" 20th/21st century "new" classical music, including 12-tone music. IMO, it was all a result of certain hallucinogenic chemicals the university-based composers were using at the time. I don't mind "battered tonality", appropriately used, but this total atonality business leaves me utterly cold. I have a special fondness for British string music (Elgar, Vaughan Williams, etc.), and I love choral music, especially if it includes boys choirs. The sound of a truly excellent treble soloist is incomparable.

What instruments do I play

A wee bit o' guitar, but not classical, alas.

Any other interests:

Motion picture scores, computers (in general), literature, movies, everything to do with Sherlock Holmes, cats, everything to do with the Celts (mythology, history, literature, etc.), eastern religions and philosophy, British ales, single malt Scotch. Did I mention cats?

How I found this station:
Through another 24seven.fm station www.streamingsoundtracks.com

What kind of Classical do I like:
I have a great palette of interest for any type of classical music.
Since I'm a composer myself it's also necessary to be openminded for every kind of "genre".
I'm a great lover of the Big Symphonic Orchestra, chamber music, a-cappella choirs, organ solo, opera.... so many things to choose from.

Of course I also have a great love & interest for the music of the 20th & 21st century.
e.g. Bartok, Stravinsky, Berg, Schönberg, Schostakovich, Schnittke, Ligety, Messiaen, Dutilleux, Cerha, Takemitsu, Gubaidulina, Piazzolla, the early Penderecki, Lutoslawski... just to name a few.

I'm looking forward to add my recommendations for this stations playlist Smile *if it's wished to be heard*

What instruments do I play:
I play piano, organ, a little bit of clarinet & voice (bariton/bass)
Besides my composing studies at the University of Music & Arts Vienna I hope to also start studying conducting next year.

Any other interests:
Films & Filmmusic (GOLDSMITH RULEZ!!Smile), Dancing, PC-Games (FPS), Beachvolleyball, Pool Billard, Hanging out with friends, ...
