My last classical purchased was Roger Water's Ça Ira on early 2007 and I requested it here already.

Last week I purchased some scores from the universities library fleamarket.
A piano reduction of Tannhäuser, Parsifal, Tristan & Isolde, Il barbier di Seviglia, Don Giovanni (though this version lacks the recitatives, but it was a very cheap one) and some other scores, even a concert piece by Miklos Rosza.
And the best thing: All only for 25€

I got Rachmaninov Piano Concertos No. 2 and 4 performed by Nikolai Lugansky, (Lee) Holdridge conducts Holdridge, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Sursum Corda/Sinfonietta (same one Adagio has).

I ordered the Ivan Moravec Plays box set because I was worried it would go out of print, Beethoven Piano Sonatas Hammerklavier, Pathetique, and Op. 49 No. 1 by Francois-Frederic Guy, and Bach Brandenburg Concertos by Tafelmusik. |

I purchased this lately...
It's a 10CD-Set with a complete recording of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Serenades & Divertimenti (cost me around 30€ at my usual classical recordings shop), the Camerata Academica of the Mozart University in Salzburgs performs under conductor & violinist Sandor Vegh.
I didn't hear every CD yet, but what I've heard so far sounds wonderful.
Vegh (who died about 11 years ago) was one of the greatest Mozart performers.
Maybe this collection could prove to be a worthy addition on this station...

Haino, I agree that Appassionata is sometimes thrilling in the right hands! I haven't heard the Murray Perahia version but I know Richter (w/Munch) plays it super fast and it's quite exciting like a rollercoaster! When I was younger, I was enamored of Perahia's clear playing and even went to see him in concert. I still think he's all around fantastic with any Bach and his Mendelssohn piano concertos is excellent, but for some other composers' work I prefer a more emotional approach. |

I listened to the clips of Murray Perahia's Appassionata and it's too bad the sound isn't better. The 3rd movement is very musical, and I can see why you enjoy it best. I sort of think he pounds it excessively in the 1st movement, but hey, he was much younger then! |

well i bet it was either carmina burana or vivaldi four seasons... last one played by finlands rfo and first one by some norwegian orchestra

I bought all 3 albums the inspiring pianistin Mihaela Ursuleasa made,
before she died on the 2nd of August 2012. I used itunes, but many companies have them in store now.
I'm very inspired by them.
