I've heard Thomas Quasthoff live with this piece in the Musikverein in Vienna, that was awesome.
But I would also suggest another recording of EMI with
Herbert von Karajan (conducting),
José van Dam (baritone),
Anna-Tomowa-Sintow (soprano),
Berliner Philharmoniker,
Wiener Singverein
But this piece, no matter which recording, should be added at any cost!
