And now for the Benchmark against which all must be measured. This recording is a glorious treasure with Marcel Dupre performing on the Aeolian Skinner organ at St. Thomas Episcopalian Church on Fifth Ave & 50th St, NYC, my home town. Many a day after work, She Who Must Be Obeyed & i would sit on the steps of the Church and listen to anonymous organists practice on this magnificent instrument and (while his show, Hamlet, was on Broadway) we would wave to Al Pacino, who was walking by, practically every late afternoon.
