The abstract presentation of this music is not listenable, but I was unable to cast my vote as that. There is no discernible message or theme, except possibly during the last seven minutes of it.
The real difficulty is that with so much music in the queue which really should be heard as one segment of at least twenty minutes ~ many are just sixty seconds or two and a half minutes. Composers don't write their music for these divisions, but Rzewski could use several, in my view.

The very first piece, " A Certain Era" is a perfect duet between the orchestra and the violin solo. This collaboration with Joseph Livingstone & the violinist is magical, and calls for more work together as they explore the vastness of our classical universe.
I may have more comments as I listen to each track, getting familiar with Livingstone's style and creativity.

A delightful, skillfully executed tour de force which seemingly plays their music the spontaneity which may well have been how it was originally heard. Each one is a gem!

The first notes and a soft "Oh". Only at the second listening, the love of music and the use of the great masters is clear. The performers go very emotional about the issue. It pays to listen to more and more accurate.

Today I must admit that I was not a fan of Richard Strauss. The opera Elektra depth nor the friendship with the composer. AFM by the fortuitous but gets another side by chance presented. Said title has deeply touched me in his musicianship and harmony. The presentation by the Vienna Philharmonic enhanced attention. I am amazed at the flexibility of the composer and advise anyone this music perfectly.

Wonderfull ! :)
Janine Jansen is the most awarded actual violist in the Dutch community. International fame.
She is with all her heart into music, and has many international colleagues that like to join her.
Her personal style is like very deeply enliving it herself, while performing. Very precisely playing, from the finest tender details up to intensive stormy war-like emotions.
Janine often leads chamber-concerts, has gained a special position in it.
Her collection of experiences is large, not bound to one composer or type of music.
The information on her website speaks for itself :

Thanks Ave ! :)
