Just to put things clear: I don't like opera, but i'm sure it has its place here!

I can take it in small amounts. I'm not sure if i could sit through a whole opera showing. I'd rather hear the music.

Very Happy yeah just wanted to ask this after tens of years, as SST is only instrumental allowed, here opera for sure would make the one or the
other colorful stain, thnx

Would pop opera - like Sarah Brightman singing "Phantom of the Opera" be eligible? hm, I guess it qualifies as a soundtrack for a Broadway show, therefore it belongs on the other site.

I wouldn't expect anything less than that from you, Saff! Smile

But really, a classical webradio without opera wouldn't be complete.
Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Weber, Richard Strauss, Berg... too many great composers whose opera works were defining a whole musical era & genre.

Very, very good!
Safffron, you have my admirations about the picking.
And, bp, you are absolutely right. I share your opinion!
