How I found this station:
I have been following SST off and on since 2006. I've lurked around on AFM for a few years and decided it was time to join up and support the site.
What kind of Classical I like:
I'm a big fan of symphony and concerto works. I absolutely love choral works. Once in a great while, I find myself fixed on opera.
What instruments I play:
I've played piano since I was 7 and picked up guitar during my time in college. I would love to learn the violin at some point.
What I do professionally:
I work at a university as the system administrator. I have the wonderful opportunity to be able to be an adjunct professor on the side. With an office to myself, I love cranking up the music as I work!
Any other interests?
Movies, reading, hiking, traveling, and all kinds of music.
I'm happy to be a part of the community. Looking foward to getting to know many of you!
One more to filling the Q ...good to have you tuned in Devin! _________________ The secret of not having worries, is to have ideas.

Though it doesn't really have directly to do with my musical achievements, I thought you'd enjoy this little film:

I, the one you know as bpewien (or Bernhard Eder for the ones who know me even longer ^^), had the pleasure of playing a small role in this short, keep a lookout for a bearded guy with sunglasses
"Prequel to the concert "Hollywood in Vienna 2012" in which general behaviour during a concert is being addressed via a ragtag couple."

Well, there wasn't that much to do actingwise
But thanks. It was great fun to be part of it. Maybe there'll be a sequel ^^
*edit: By the way, the part with the conducting baton was my idea _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"

How I found this station?
I started out at SST (StreamingSoundtrack.com), but preferred symphonic scores to others mostly.
What kind of classical I like?
Hmmm phhh, good question. Romantic piano music, baroque violin music Vivaldi especially, contemporary relaxing sounds, tango , other classic composers like Bach, Mozart and Beethoven mostly
What instruments I play?
piano, a little... but I consider my voice my main instrument. I've been singing for .... almost for ever. Mezzosoprano, rather lyrical and sensitive... others say. In school and church choirs I sang alto and had my first solo in a church service last year. More to come soon
Any other interests?
poetry, painting, dancing, photography, ... I am art-person. I'm not really good, but I can't live without it.
This is a live recording of the premiere performance back in May 2012, I conducted it. Sadly it was sooo incredibly hot in the performing hall and the stupid lights were making so much noise. The piece is going to be performed again this fall at a festival in Vienna, so maybe I'll then have a "better" quality recording of it

You know what, until it gets (hopefully soon) released here on SST, I'll give you all the opportunity to have a first exclusive listen to it

My first feature film score for the Austrian independent, zero-budget phantasy-dramedy-film "Nostromo" (2013), which will hopefully be released sometime soon in this years fall.
For promotional purposes now you can have an exclusive first listen into my musical contribution to this project
(As one out of 4 composers who worked on this film)
Loved it!!! Very pleasant and versatile composition! Interesting turns and captivating style!
Congratulations!!! _________________ The secret of not having worries, is to have ideas.
