In that case you'll surely like this thread. _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"

Sirius I think I remember that we were talking about it on EFM but I think that I read about it first on the SST forum but now, thanks to You I'm not sure which one was first, maybe I should edit my post then?
nah... I won't do it, I've already wrote it here |

>> How I found this station:
I think on SST or EFM. Or, don0don may have mentioned it when we were talking and sharing more than a wee bit o' The MacCallan.
>> What kind of Classical I like:
Mostly the big orchestral pieces, and piano. Really, anything that is not dreary and that doesn't put me to sleep.
>> What instruments do I play:
Washtubs and kazoos, mostly.
>> Any other interests?
Assuming this means activities and hobbies (rather than such standard things as faith in God, or devotion to and enjoying activities with my family), I would say: screenwriting, bicycle riding (I love to climb - the steeper the hill, the bigger the thrill), reading classic novels, listing to SST/EFM/AFM during my work day and occasionally being able to participate in the chats, watching the Tour De France as it unfolds (I would rather get up at 3 am to watch the live coverage than wait to see the taped and edited version at a more reasonable hour!).
>> Character heros in movies or literature?
1. Atticus Finch (played by Gregory Peck in the 1962 movie "To Kill A Mockingbird").
2. Homer Smith (played by Sidney Poitier in the 1963 movie "Lilies Of The Field").
3. Charles Darnay (In the Charles Dickens novel "A Tale Of Two Cities").
>> Favorite sayings?
Preach Christ at all times. If necessary, use words. –St. Francis of Assisi |

Hi @all, I finally registered here but originally am a member of Death.FM, the best metal station online . I like much classical music but only have been listening to it from my hard drive but I think I'll find some great compositions on here now.
To don't break the "question-combo" I'll also leave some information about me here:
How I found this station:
Through Death.FM, I know most of the "partner-stations" through that radio.
What kind of Classical I like:
Genereally most types but I'm deeply in love with Puccini's operatic themes. Also Grieg has a special place in my ears.
What instruments do I play
Guitar (both electric and acoustic), Bass (only electric yet without much techniques), a bit Keyboard and similiar instruments, mouth harp and almost everything else which comes handy for my ambient project.
Any other interests?
Photography, computers, RPG's, poems and art in general |

Hello! I'm new here but probably some people already know me
How I found this station:
Through SST
What kind of Classical I like:
I honestly don't know... I'm a beginner and know nothing about classical music genres. I enjoy whatever sounds good to my ears.
What instruments do I play
I played piano as a kid but quit lessons years ago (because of typical teen rebellious attitude), and I have regrets about that now.
Other than that, I love whistling movie themes
Any other interests?
Film music, animation, Disney, The Lion King, movies, fantasy books, dogs & birds & any other animals, studying animal behaviour and biology _________________ aka Miya
Great score, short release... Life's not fair, is it?
A petition for an official release of Hans Zimmer's THE LION KING complete score!

How I found this station:
While listening Death FM I looked at the left low corner of the screen
and found out some logos, then clicked one...
What kind of Classical I like:
Renaissance, especially Elizabethan, some of Baroque
and strictly selected pieces from other classical genres
What instruments do I play
I play guitar: lute & vihuela repertoire.
Any other interests?
Mathematics, boxing, heavy metal. |

I have been a member for quite some time now, but it is never too late to introduce myself....
How I found this station:
I just browsed in search engines for classical music stations and I entered Adagio by chance.
What kind of Classical I like:
I like all kinds of music that can make you breathe. So all periods can more or less fulfill my preferences.
What instruments do I play
Piano, Voice (I have been singing in choirs as a soprano for a long time in the past)
Any other interests?
Reading, history, drawing, biking,.... and a lot of other things that make me feel creative like crafting, cooking, making wine, bread, soap, etc. _________________ The secret of not having worries, is to have ideas.
