I was stunned to find that there were no recordings at all on the works of Josquin des Prés, THE preeminent composer of the Early Renaissance. Western Music climbs out of the slime of the Middle Ages with his choral masterpiece, the Missa Pange Lingua. Now admittedly, I'm a Wagnerian, the lowest of the Low, yet even i can appreciate the staggering genius of Josquin des Prés, who simply AND continuously compose reams of the utterly sublime. The Tallis Scholars are THE preeminent scholars in rendering this ancient music beautifully to our inchoate ears. So pppplllleeaaassse vote and help to add this ethereal music to AFM's playlist.
