I like Tchaikovsky very much. I read something about he not being a first line composer, but I don't concern on this. No long explanations. Tchaikovsky's style fully matches my taste for music.

Theodor Berger, Olivier Messiaen, Dmitri Schostakovitsch, Witold Lutoslawski, Alban Berg, Anton Bruckner, Johann Sebastian Bach... the list goes is, very, very long.

It doesn't matter for me which generations these composers are from, as long as their music inspires me.
I especially like music that has a balance between expressive and intimate.

Messiaen's music or works by Toru Takemitsu are the best examples for that.

If I wrote a reason for every single composer, this whole thread would take no end Smile

Current classical composer that i am in love with is Ludovico Einaudi. His piano pieces are so gorgeous...they are on a short list of sheet music to buy and learn to play!

Franz Liszt. This may be weird, but it reminds me of Flash Gordon, that's what caught my attention at first. I never tire of his music.

Well, I'm not an expert in classic music and/or composers but I really enjoy listening to Vivaldi, to some works (but not all) of Mozart and Strauss (son). Their music seems to be so light and full of energy (at least in my opinion).

I like to listen to the piano concerts of Chopin too. They are so calm and sometimes sad or maybe sentimental, I'm not sure which word is better here to explain what I mean...

As Pesadelo I like Tchaikovsky very much too, especially music that he wrote for the opera's.

Of course I like other composers too, but this five are on the top of my list.

I like most famous classical composers, not too picky, really.

Probably most partial to Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Brahms, and Bartok.

I enjoy their potential for lots of emotion, energy, and technical brilliance, depending on the performance. I think Bartok's folk influences and rhythms are really interesting.
