1812 Overture is my favorite composition. It is about victory and tenacity, and makes me feel alive and strong. It is a wonderful Heavy Metal composition (sorry by the analogy).
Further, it contains the basics of the most beautiful hymn of the world (IMO), La Marseillaise, which was not France hymn yet at the time Tchaikovsky did 1812.
There is another piece that have a stong effect on me: Albinoni's Adagio. But this is a different pace, a slow down nature. It makes me cry almost all times I listen it. Not a sadness cry, just a powerful feeling before its magnificence.
And I just discovered that Albinoni's Adagio is not here and I'm going to do a request!

It has never lost its striking force since almost 100 years now.
The first performance (at the theater in Paris) with the ballet lead to the greatest scandal in music history.
A real riot occured because members of the audience where confused by the choreography and the music.
Today it's rightfully acclaimed a masterpiece and many times copied... especially in the film music genre.

I was first introduced to classical music in high school 35 years ago. One of the first compositions we heard was Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz. I was just floored by the music, and it has been my favorite ever since.  |

Carmena Burana because it was my first classical work I ever heard which was while I was singing in the children's chorus. Now 8 years later I have had the privilege of singing in the Adult Chorus. |

My most favourites are some: Beethoven`s Moonlight Sonata the third movement, Liszt`s Hungarian Rapsody №2, Chopin`s Marche Funebre, etc.
I love these plays `cos they are full with many and strong emotions. Actually, i can`t explain exactly what i feel when i listen to
