I thought it would be nice to have a modern version in addition to the Pinnock (which Adagio already has).
Gil Shaham performs the Vivaldi with a lot of energy and with great technical abilities.
If you think another Four Seasons version would be better, please add other suggestions below and the admins will decide which version to add. |

Seclusion, as far as I've understood the motto around AFM, there's no problem with having more than one interpretation of a classical piece.
But thanks for pointing that out. _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"

I'm game. There can be differences from the very subtle to dramatic when you cross time periods _________________ Though everything else may appear shallow and repulsive, even the smallest task in music is so absorbing, and carries us so far away from town, country, earth, and all worldly things, that it is truly a blessed gift of God.

For sure.
I guess that in the future moderators work will be apart fighters in a "best interpretation of" dispute.

Pesa I wish you good luck.
Maybe we can add here a new Forum where you can discuss the differences and which one is the "best interpretation"
I would like to see it in a seperate Forum so you have a good overview of all the discussed albums.

Is there any way we can get the rest of the Four Seasons tracks added? I thought we could have the same compositions with different soloists/performers here for comparison purposes.
In classical music, I feel this is more important because there are a lot of interpretations of the standard repertoire. |

Pesa, I think SYMPHONIC was referring to zirael's post about adding all tracks of this album.
To add these tracks:
4. Concerto for Violin and Strings in G minor, Op.8, No.2, R.315 "L'estate" - 1. Allegro non molto - Allegro
5. Concerto for Violin and Strings in G minor, Op.8, No.2, R.315 "L'estate" - 2. Adagio - Presto - Adagio
8. Concerto for Violin and Strings in F, Op.8, No.3, R.293 "L'autunno" - 2. Adagio molto (Ubriachi dormienti)
9. Concerto for Violin and Strings in F, Op.8, No.3, R.293 "L'autunno" - 3. Allegro (La caccia)
10. Concerto for Violin and Strings in F minor, Op.8, No.4, R.297 "L'inverno" - 1. Allegro non molto
11. Concerto for Violin and Strings in F minor, Op.8, No.4, R.297 "L'inverno" - 2. Largo
12. Concerto for Violin and Strings in F minor, Op.8, No.4, R.297 "L'inverno" - 3. Allegro _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne - The Shawshank Redemption) |

it is ok. I almost wanted to place the same reaction. Did not read zirael's post
And thanks, you remebers me now that I have to say yes also for the addition of the missing tracks _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne - The Shawshank Redemption) |
