A film director acquaintance of mine, John Korty, made a wonderful film, "Miracle In A Box", about the restoration of a 1927 Steinway piano. I thought this would be of interest to listeners of this station, especially those of you who, like me, really appreciate fine piano music.
The story presented in the film entails much more than just the piano's restoration. It is the grand prize in a performance competition! Can you imagine the excitement of each contestant at the prospect of winning such a jewel?
Mr. Korty is an Emmy and Academy Award winning film maker.
