Hello, I have an idea that I think would greatly help adagio.
Would i be possible to have a text messaging service (I know my college group at church has a computer system that does this) that tells you your song is playing right now or will be the next song?
Let me know what you think or if you do not fully understand me.
Thanks
Sincerely

Once again thanks
The only reason is I know it has happened to me, and I believe it has happened to others is requesting a song and be away and thus miss it.
Another suggestion is have some sort of time after you request a song, it tells you how long until your song will be next. |

Rak I am sorry to say that this sort of notification is basically against the law.
We are not allowed to announce when a song is going to be played,
it is against the rules of the station's operation.
Thank you anyway for suggesting!
As for the time remaining to reach your song...
you can estimate by looking at the queue's duration.

Ah I see/understand. Although it makes me mad, I understand the reasoning behind the law.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly,
*gives you rep points* |

One of the few disadvantages of being a legal station. But the right path that JERIC chose to do it this way. Although not much on this station but others in our family like SST and DFM has the benefits of recognized by artists, promotors, record labels and are donating music to the station.
I do not know if you are good in programming we have a webservice for every station which you can use to get some information about what is in the queue and what is playing. So maybe you can find a way to see when a certain track is coming up:

Thank you once more.
The reason I'm suggesting this is because I've experienced it myself, and I believe others might have encountered the same issue: requesting a song and then being away, only to miss it.
Another idea I have is to implement a feature where, after you request a song, you receive an estimate of how long it will be until your song plays next. |
