Should this version of the Sacre be added? |
Yes, I'd like to hear this particular interpretation of that masterpiece on this station! |

|
About 10 months ago I donated the soundtrack album of the german documentary feature "RHYTHM IS IT!".
The filmscore, written by german composer Karim S. Elias, was added to the SST-playlist.
But the very good interpretation of the "Le Sacre du printemps" by Igor Stravinsky, performed by the BERLINER PHILHARMONIKER under Sir Simon Rattle wasn't.
So I'd suggest to add the recording of this CD here on AFM, since JERIC already has the CD and the 35 minutes long version (because it's all on one track) could be splitted in half after the end of the 1st movement.
So each movement (1st & 2nd) would be about 16-18 minutes long.
What do you think? _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"

BPE is the maestro, so he knows what to request _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne - The Shawshank Redemption)

He would have to split the tracks himself? Well, he's JERIC. He should be able to do it _________________ Though everything else may appear shallow and repulsive, even the smallest task in music is so absorbing, and carries us so far away from town, country, earth, and all worldly things, that it is truly a blessed gift of God.

So, is Saffron or he able to do it? *rhetorical question* _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"

So, after over a year: Is there any news regarding this suggestion? _________________ "If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will, then it will because it is good!"
